Wizkid thrills Kenyan Fans at Nairobi Performance

October 19 was the date for Good Times Africa's event "Africa Dance Party" that was sponsored by units of Nation Media Group, and in which Wizkid was the headline act of the night.

His entrance, just after 1am, caught everyone off guard. While everyone looked to the stage entrance as Eric Omondi announced he was next on, Wizkid made his way to the stage through the crowd without anyone noticing.

The crowd was wild in their reception, and security had to be increased at the guard railing that made the perimeter of the performance stage.

A PERFORMANCE WORTH NOTING

Wizkid sang the crowd's favourite tunes, including "Caro", "On Top Your Matter", "Bombay" and "Jaiye Jaiye". Thrice, the singer's burly personal aide and security had to battle the ladies to wrestle him from their clutches. Even then, the artiste appealed to the security people not to harass his fans.

The performance itself was fast-paced and full of energy and the crowd responded in kind — picking up songs where the artiste asked them to and chanting back "yea, yea" when he asked them if they were having a good time.
